Coming from a large ‘forces family’, Claire made a deliberate move to H4H in September 2013, having worked alongside them for a number of years in her previous role as Director of Marketing and BD at charity law firm, Wilsons. Prior to joining the third sector, Claire had spent more than 13 years honing her skills in raising income in the professional services sector. These included eight years at KPMG and PricewaterhouseCoopers where she was responsible for growing income from FTSE 100 companies, establishing a national programme of client care and retention and was a principle advisor on both national and global proposals.
As the first Head of IG at H4H, Claire is responsible for all public income including general donations, appeals, regular giving, legacies and In Mem. Having not worked in charity before, she has instead applied her experience of building meaningful and mutually beneficial relationships, to create an authentic dialogue between H4H and their supporters. This has led to voluntary increases in donation and remarkably low attrition.
Claire has spoken at a number of events and conferences surrounding client/supporter engagement, creating compelling proposals and has been guest tutor on BD and marketing modules of MBAs.
If Claire wasn’t working at H4H she’d be a detective.
